A fascinating look at life in the 50’s through the lens of Bub Williams’ camera. It opens with Myrt cruising on a summer evening. We then see Sis, or Claudia Barr (Myrt and Frank’s younger sister) running up to the car from an apparent marching band practice. Sis was a talented baton twirler as seen in other films. It looks like she is trying to drink from an old Pepsi bottle, but the label is a little obscured. Bub owned a service station across from the Morrow County Fairgrounds in Mt Gilead, Ohio for many years. He filmed events across the road several times. In this one we see horse cart racing, and a lot of nostalgic automobiles, trucks and tractors making their way in and out of the fairgrounds. Some great footage here.
